Cubilete is a dice roguelike deckbuilder where the deck is made of dice instead of cards. Players roll, bank the faces they want, reroll the rest, and spend resources to reshape each hand into poker combos that power the next move. Built on a traditional Spanish dice game.
About
Every roll is a poker hand you get to shape.
Cubilete is a dice roguelike deckbuilder where every roll is a poker hand you get to shape.
Each turn you roll your dice. Bank the faces you like, reroll the rest, and spend your resources to transform and improve your hand. Pull poker combos like pairs, trios, and full houses (and a few that climb higher than you'd guess) to set off your dice and load up your next move.
-
Set up your hand
Banked dice can be reorganized. Move them and build the combo you're aiming for before you commit.
-
Three rolls, one decision
Every reroll is a bet against your own luck. Chase the combo you want, or pocket what you've got and move on. Hit something big and it pays off. Come up short and you've burned resources you'll miss later.
-
Make the dice yours
Over a run reshape what's on their faces and push each die towards the role you need.
-
Choose who you play
Different characters bend the dice in different ways.
-
Change the rules with charms
Charms rewrite how your dice work. The right ones turn a liability into your best source of damage, or change what even counts as a good roll. Find a few that click and the run really opens up. No two runs play out the same.
-
Navigate the map
Pick your way through a branching run of fights, rewards, and risks. What you choose between fights shapes the encounters that follow.

Developer
Cubilete is the first commercial game from crankyfuse, the one person studio of Abel Mercadé Falcó.
It takes its name from the dice game my grandfather taught me as a kid in Cuba. We played most weekends, usually alongside dominoes and lotería. I remember the sound of the dice hitting the wooden table.
My family came to Cuba from Spain a couple of generations back, from Valencia and Cataluña. I'm based in Madrid now. The cup is still in Cuba, and I hope to inherit it one day.
I went to school for graphic design and taught myself 3D and coding. I've been making games since I was a kid building small projects in GameMaker. These days I freelance across gamedev.
I've been building Cubilete on and off since October 2025. It grew out of a love for the old turn-based JRPGs I played growing up, the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest era, and a feeling that the dice game from those weekends could become a full roguelike.
